    Meet at Chiayi Railway Station or arrange collection from Chiayi HSR. Have breakfast before leaving and confirm your return arrangement before the mountain journey begins.

    Enter the forest recreation area, orient yourself at the visitor centre and keep the local forest railway as an optional short ride rather than the backbone of this day trip.

    Walk through Sisters Ponds and Xianglin

    Follow the gentle forest paths toward Sisters Ponds and the Xianglin area. Pause for the changing light, but keep the return schedule in mind as mountain weather can shift quickly.

    Walk the Giant Trees Trail before returning

    Finish with the Giant Trees Trail and the Sacred Tree area, then return to the bus terminal or your private transfer with a generous buffer before the descent to Chiayi.
