The municipal district office places Daqing Night Market near the Jianguo South Road / Dongxing Road intersection in Taichung’s South District. Use the market signs and the municipal map destination, then check the current walking route and crossings.

The renewed permit establishes authorization, not tonight’s actual stall operation. We could not independently confirm a current weekly schedule. MRT Daqing and an approximate 10-minute walk
MRT Daqing (大慶站) → approximately 10 minutes on foot, according to the municipal tourism map.
Walking is an alternative to renting a bike. The time is approximate and depends on your route and pace. Check current crossings and road conditions; we have not established a particular station exit or a step-by-step sidewalk route.
YouBike is optional: prepare before riding
We rode YouBike from Daqing station to the market and back. The exact dock ID, route and journey minutes were not recorded. Photos do not prove bicycle availability or a protected cycling lane.
Since January 1, 2026, members and single-rental users must enroll in free Public Bicycle Injury Insurance before renting YouBike 2.0/2.0E, including in Taichung. Single-rental users must register insurance in the YouBike app. Before travel, prepare the current app, identity/insurance details and an eligible registration and payment method using the official instructions; confirm that the tourist rental path works for you. Regular members may register insurance through the official website or app.
For full membership, the official signup guide asks for a Taiwan mobile number with SMS verification and identity details such as a passport for insurance. Website signup links EasyCard/iPASS; credit-card or electronic-payment setup uses the app. If this path does not suit you, check the app’s current single-rental eligibility and payment instructions before counting on a bicycle.
Check live bicycle and return-dock availability. Use the official registration instructions to confirm your identity and payment eligibility; no visitor card or payment method is guaranteed to work. Ride cautiously after dark, follow road rules and consider weather and surface conditions.
Leave time for the return
Allow time to return the bike or walk back to MRT Daqing. Before adding the market after a baseball game or before returning to HSR, check the current market operation, MRT service and your final HSR departure. This combination is not feasible for every match or train.
