Where to go after arriving at HSR Taichung

These signs were photographed on October 9, 2026. Signs and boarding locations can change: check the current operator guide and your particular bus boarding area. HSR Taichung, connected Xinwuri TRA Station and downtown Taichung Railway Station are different stations.

MRT: Follow Exit 3 / MRT signs to HSR Taichung MRT station; at the junction, use the MRT arrow.
Taiwan Railways (TRA): Follow Exit 3 / TRA signs to Xinwuri (新烏日), not downtown Taichung Railway Station.
Local / intercity bus: The board directs the bus station toward Exits 5–6. Confirm the route’s actual boarding area; the separate Wuri bus station sign points toward Exit 3.
Taxi: Follow Exit 7 / taxi pickup signage and join the taxi queue.
Private pickup: Follow Exit 7 / pickup area (1F) signage; arrange the meeting point separately from the taxi queue.

HSR Taichung Station is not Taichung Railway Station in the city center.
Xinwuri TRA Station is connected to the HSR station; use it when a TRA transfer suits your destination.
For central Taichung, allow time for an onward MRT, bus, taxi, or TRA connection.
